This award recognizes those who continue his legacy by advancing Technology First through leadership, education, and meaningful impact.

SHIFT is looking for the DSPs who are helping people live more independently by embracing technology, advocating for innovative supports, and empowering individuals to use technology at home, at work, and in their communities.
The Dustin A. Wright Tech First Champion Award honors the legacy of one of the Technology First movement’s earliest champions by recognizing a DSP who is putting Technology First into action every day.
Tell us about the DSP whose creativity, dedication, and passion have made a lasting impact in someone’s life through technology.
The recipient will be recognized during National DSP Recognition Week (September 13–19, 2026) and will receive a prize valued at $100.
