OHIO DODD TECHNOLOGY FIRST EDUCATION PROJECT

Welcome to the Registration Site for Ohio Providers, County Boards, and ICF/IDDs!
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has purchased a limited number of slots for each of SHIFT’s four programs intended for Ohio providers, the county board, and ICF/IDD staff. Review the four program descriptions and instructions for registration below. THIS PROJECT CLOSED ON JUNE 30, 2022. NO MORE REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED. ENROLLED LEARNERS HAVE 1 YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ENROLLMENT TO COMPLETE THE CERTIFICATION.
PROGRAM SELECTION
OH DODD is offering 4 program opportunities
All programs include the “Fundamentals” courses (of the Enabling Technology Credential) so you will only choose ONE SHIFT program based on whether you want the basic information or a more specialized certification (Enabling Technology Integration Specialist, Enabling Technology Navigator, or Leadership)

SELECT YOUR PROGRAM
SHIFT has 4 programs available in this project. Please read below and choose ONE program based on the best fit for your job role or the type of professional development you want to pursue.
REGISTER YOURSELF
Click the “Register” link below the program you have chosen. It will open the SHIFT Sign-In window. Register as a “New User” at the bottom of the SHIFT Sign-In window. You will receive a confirmation email from SHIFT letting you know we received your info.
START YOUR COURSEWORK
Once you register, a SHIFT team member will enroll you in your program. You will receive a Welcome email confirming enrollment and giving you all the info you need to log in.
ENABLING TECHNOLOGY CREDENTIAL (3 hours)
3 Fundamentals courses + an exam
Select this program if you:
Provide direct support, coaching, or mentoring to people with disabilities
Manage direct support staff and want the basics on Technology First and enabling technology integration
Facilitate or lead a team but do not need specialized education
Need the fundamentals of enabling tech and Technology First for professional development
ENABLING TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (ETIS) CERTIFICATION (18 hours)
3 Fundamentals Courses + 1 Specialization Course
1 case study project + exam
Select this program if you:
Coordinate technology integration for people with disabilities within your organization
Facilitate assessment and planning teams
Seek specialized certification for advanced skills related to enabling technology, Technology First, planning, and assessment
Provide support to your leadership team as someone who champions technology and the Technology First culture shift
ENABLING TECHNOLOGY NAVIGATOR (ETN) CERTIFICATION (18 hours)
3 Fundamentals Courses + 1 Specialization Course
1 case study project + exam
Select this program if you:
Coordinate or manage support services for self-advocates (care/case manager, service/support coordinator, etc.)
Work for a managed care organization or another type of support coordination agency
Facilitate assessment and planning teams and the development of the ISP
Seek specialized certification for advanced skills related to enabling technology, Technology First, planning, and assessment
Assist self-advocates/families in navigating Medicaid waivers and other funding resources to support access to technologies
LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATION (12 hours)
3 Fundamentals Courses + 2 Specialization Courses
Organization Technology Plan project
Select this program if you:
Lead or facilitate organizational operations or programming
Drive the organization’s culture shift to Technology First
Prioritize Technology First Accreditation for the organization
Supervise teams, divisions, or departments in the organization and are responsible for guiding them through Technology First transformation
